The latest web browsers make for a much better internet experience than just a few short years ago. New object placement rules, greatly improved font manipulation, embedded Flash content, sound, individual identification and tracking all make the surfing experience better for site owner and surfer.

Designing for a larger number of browsers is a requirement today. Internet Explorer is no longer the dominant browser. Diversification, and new offerings by Mozilla, makers of Netscape, and Firefox have introduced many of the most exciting features of todays browsers.

I am very excited at the advances made in web browsers and that is one reason I hand code my web pages. Hand coding goes beyond what an out of the box web page editor can do and allows the designer to custom taylor the little features that make a nice website an outstanding looking, and outstanding functioning website.

Todays browsers, Javascript, CSS, and XML, make the page you are looking at now more compact, and with a basic design more compatible to more browsers without too many workarounds. That means the look your see, is more likely the look and function all visitors to your site will experience.
